On arrival, you will be served lunch. After lunch you can test ride an appropriate horse. If the horse is suitable, you can keep it for the entire stay. Day 2 -4
During your stay you will ride beautiful Argentinian horses on the world famous Pampas. You can enjoy long gallops on the plains and the chance to explore its picturesque and charming villages. Your guides are genuine Gauchos (cowboys) who love to show off the Pampas and initiate you into the ‘secrets’ of successfully rearing cattle and horses. You will be able to enjoy both horse and ranch activities in the Estancia over the following days, including:
- Rides along the banks of the El Gato River where you can experience the original Pampas wilderness
- Day-to-day work with the cattle
- An all day ride where you will visit a large neighboring Estancia and be served a traditional Argentinian barbeque grill lunch in the shade of a tree
- You will explore the local area and typical Argentinian villages along with the little town of Almada. The locals meet in a local bar and are always happy to welcome visitors and make new friends. It is like a trip back in time. Hitch you horse outside the bar the same way they did in the Wild West. Enjoy a drink and a chat with the locals. You are a genuine cowboy.
You have the chance for a ride before lunch and to say good-bye to the horses. After another beautiful lunch, you will leave the Estancia and drive to Buenos Aires. After checking-in at the hotel you are free to wander the city, shop or visit museums.
Breakfast. The group will meet and take an interesting tour of the city. Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, Eva Peron and more will be experienced. In the evening, you will enjoy a tango show and dinner as well as get an exciting tango lesson at Complejo Tango. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will be collected at 9.00 am from the hotel for a visit to the Rio de la Platta / Paraná River Deltas and their picturesque towns. You will travel by bus, train and boat. From the boat, you will experience the exotic sub-tropical forest in the Paraná River delta, a 14,000 square kilometer (5,500 sq. miles) area of islands and islets. Rio de la Plata is the last section of the Paraná River which is 2,500 miles (4,000 km) long and whose name in the local Indian language means ‘as big as the sea’. After the Amazon, this is South America’s second longest river and the volume of water that runs out into the Atlantic Ocean is equivalent to the volume from the Mississippi River.
